Thank you for visiting my website.

Over the past decade—first as a legislator and then as head of two different state agencies—I have traveled across our beautiful state. I have met so many people who were lured by the promise of the Sunshine State and willing to risk the wrath of hurricanes to capture a piece of the Florida dream.

But today a new kind of storm is brewing. For the first time in decades, the population of Florida is actually shrinking. Unemployment is at a record high—and climbing.

The biggest growth industry in Florida is government regulation. At a time when we need more good jobs, the red-tape tax is driving businesses away.

I am running for Attorney General because it is time to get government back to the basics.

As expected from any candidate for Attorney General, I will use the might of the office to provide law enforcement officers with the tools they need to keep our children, our families, and our seniors safe and secure. And I will empower a talented team of prosecutors to punish those who prey on the people of Florida.

But the office of Attorney General is about much more. My philosophy starts with the basic principal that…more government is not the solution to the problems we face. The engine for economic change is the marketplace. We can’t let government regulation continue to be a drag on Florida’s economy. So I will also use the office of Attorney General to eliminate onerous laws and regulations that stifle small businesses and impede prosperity.

Today our nation and our state stand at a critical crossroads. We cannot afford to take the path of bigger, more intrusive government. We cannot continue to allow frivolous law suits to clog our courts and impose a hidden tax on every business, service, and product. We must unleash the creative power of entrepreneurs to build our economy in new directions never before dreamed.

I see Florida as it can be. A land of promise where children are free to play and learn, where businesses can create jobs and families prosper, a haven for retirees.
